Trollstigen, or the Troll Road, is a spectacular mountain route known for its dramatic scenery, challenging switchbacks, and impressive engineering. The climb from Isterdalen features 11 named hairpin bends and rises about 840 meters beside the 320-meter Stigfossen waterfall before reaching a high plateau with panoramic viewpoints. The journey continues through the Gudbrandsjuvet gorge, Valldal’s orchards, a fjord ferry crossing, and the dramatic Ornesvingen switchbacks above Geiranger.
