Knights Ferry - FHD20

1 dzień / 214 mile / 5 godzin 37 minut

Knights Ferry is nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, about 40 miles east of Modesto on the Stanislaus River. The Willms Ranch, a California Landmark near the town, was one of many filming locations for the television series Bonanza and Little House on the Prairie. Knights Ferry is also home to the Knights Ferry Bridge, the longest covered bridge west of the Mississippi at 330 feet in length.
Our day's sojourn will begin with meeting at the Folsom Dealership by 9 AM -- full tanks and empty bladders -- KSU 9:15. Our first stop will be Andrae's Bakery in Amador City, where they have marvelous coffee and tasty pastries. If you eat an early breakfast before the ride, save some room for the goodies at Andrae's. Lunch will be a little after 1:00.
Leaving Amador City, we'll continue on Amador County's scenic gold country roads toward Pardee, Valley Springs, Jenny Lind...and finally Knights Ferry (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_Ferry,_California).
Following lunch we'll make a quick stop 2 mi down the road at the Willms Ranch, then head toward Lake Tulloch, Copperopolis, San Andreas, and points beyond up the Golden Chain Highway -- finally touching down again in Folsom.
A full day of delightful Spring riding...
